Lesson prices, scheduling & policies
The Fall 2011 semester starts the week of August 1st and ends on December 16th, with a student recital on December 17th.
Lessons are scheduled in either 30 minute or 1-hour blocks of time, with the following cost per month. Invoices will be e-mailed on the 15th of each month. Payment for the upcoming month is required by the 1st lesson of each month by either cash or check.
Piano
30 minute lesson $100.00/month for 4.5 months (August-December)
1 Hour $160.00/month for 4.5 months (August-December)
Voice
30 minute lesson $100.00/month for 4.5 months (August-December)
1 Hour $160.00/month for 4.5 months (August-December)
Lesson times are scheduled Monday – Thursday on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To Register:
1) Fill out the online interest form and include any questions or concerns that you may have
2) Read the Music Studio Handbook and return the Signature Page to 2362 Brevard Road, Charleston, SC 29414 or email to joshmerd@gmail.com.
3) Lesson time slots are first-come, first-serve and cannot be held until signature page and interest form are received.
Make up Lessons:
If the student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson time, Meredith Dickard Music Studio requires 24 hours notice or the student risks forfeiting his/her make up lesson. Make up lessons are scheduled on Fridays at a time that is most convenient for both the instructor and the student and his/her guardian. The student is allowed 1 make up lesson a month.
If a scheduled lesson is cancelled due to Meredith Dickard Music Studio, it will be rescheduled at the most convenient time for the student and his/her guardian.
Discontinuing Lessons:
If for any reason, a student is no longer able to keep his/her commitment to Meredith Dickard Music Studio, 30 days, written notice is required. Payment is expected for the month after notification. For example, Student A no longer wants to take piano lessons. He sends an email to Meredith Dickard Music Studio on February 1st. Student A will be billed for the month of February and is free to continue lessons for that month. However, he will not be billed for March and his time slot becomes available on March 1st.
Important Reminders
To ensure that each student gets the same amount of attention and quality of teaching, please remember the following:
1) Please send your check for the month by your child the first lesson of the month.
2) Because lessons are back to back, we must end at the scheduled time. Therefore, every minute counts. Please be ready to begin at your scheduled time. If you are early, please wait outside until time for your lesson. If you are early to pick up your child, please wait and I will send them out when it is time. Because I don’t have scheduled breaks between each lesson I really need your cooperation to help me stay on schedule.
3) If you have questions about your student’s lesson, please call or email outside of lesson time.
